Hi, I’m Lisa.
Before I became a therapist, I had a career in the entertainment industry and creative arts. That experience shaped how I think about people and problems in ways I couldn't have anticipated. I came to understand that creativity is not just an outlet but a way of making sense of things, and that some people process their lives most fully through image, metaphor, and expression rather than just words. That perspective is in everything I do as a clinician.
I work with people who are carrying things that are hard to carry alone. That might be grief, or patterns from your family of origin that keep showing up in your relationships, or a sense of being stuck in a story about yourself that no longer fits. I'm direct and I'm caring, and I believe the mind and body have a remarkable capacity for healing when given the right conditions. If you're a creative professional, an artist, or someone who has always thought a little sideways, you'll feel at home here.
Clinical Specialties
A significant part of my work is with artists, musicians, and creative professionals. I understand this world from the inside: the pressure to produce, the identity questions that come with building a life around creative work, and the way that industry can complicate mental health in ways that don't always map onto standard clinical frameworks. I also use expressive arts approaches in my clinical work, which means clients who process through image, movement, or creative expression rather than traditional talk therapy will find a natural fit here.
Much of my other work centers on the relational and intergenerational patterns that quietly shape how we show up in our lives and relationships. Codependency, attachment wounds, dysfunctional family systems, and families impacted by addiction are all areas where I have significant experience. These patterns rarely begin with the person sitting across from me, but the work of recognizing and shifting them does. I also work with grief and loss, anxiety and depression, and the self-worth questions that often run underneath all the above. If any of this feels familiar, I'd love to connect.
