Hi, I’m Farris.

While I have a special passion for working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, I welcome clients from all walks of life. I aspire to bring a warm, welcoming presence into every session. I deeply believe that each of my clients has been created with purpose and holds unique strengths — sometimes hidden, sometimes underutilized — and it’s a joy to help uncover and nurture those strengths throughout our work together. I cultivate a space for clients to be honest, messy, and real. I believe secure, loving relationships are a powerful source of healing, and that belief shapes the way I approach therapy. My therapeutic style is client-centered, goal-oriented and flexible. I’ll meet you where you are and walk with you as you journey through whatever challenges you are currently facing.

Clinical Experience

My clinical experience includes working in a variety of settings, including private practice, a university-based training clinic, and an addiction recovery center. I also spent several months working alongside survivors of human trafficking in Cape Town, South Africa. This experience cultivated a deep passion for caring for and empowering survivors of trauma through my therapeutic work. My approach to therapy is integrative and typically encompasses Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

Clinical Specialties

My clinical specialties include working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults through a wide variety of issues. I’m especially passionate about supporting families through difficult transitions like divorce, creating space to process trauma, and walking alongside individuals facing everyday challenges such as anxiety and depression.
