Hi, I’m Rachel.
I’ve been practicing yoga for almost two decades. Infusing humor, compassion, and large doses of encouragement and honesty, my students learn about themselves and how to approach their yoga practice in a way that encourages curiosity and transformation.
As an artist at heart, I credit Iyengar yoga as providing a structured environment that encourages my own creativity. I continue to be inspired by the tremendous power of practice that the Iyengars and her teachers have provided. I’ve spent decades immersed in the Iyengar tradition and you will find that it has deeply shaped my teaching and approach to practice. I am also a LMT and see clients to integrate yoga with other healing modalities.
Yoga
As a yoga instructor, I offer both private and group yoga sessions designed to support your unique needs, whether you’re looking to build strength, improve flexibility, reduce stress, or deepen your connection to yourself. In private sessions, we’ll work together to create a personalized practice that aligns with your specific goals, whether you’re managing an injury, coping with chronic conditions, or seeking greater balance in your life.
Yoga isn’t just about physical movement. It’s a practice that supports healing on every level—body, mind, and spirit. Through a combination of postures, breathwork, and mindfulness, we’ll explore how yoga can help you release tension, restore equilibrium, and cultivate resilience. Whether you join a group class for the shared energy of community or prefer the individualized focus of one-on-one instruction, my goal is to create a supportive space where you can listen to your body, honor your needs, and experience the transformative benefits of yoga.
Bodywork
As a bodywork practitioner, my goal is to help you feel more balanced, relaxed, and connected to your body. I use gentle, hands-on techniques to release tension, support your body’s natural healing processes, and promote overall well-being. Depending on your needs, our sessions might include acupressure to apply mindful pressure on specific points to ease chronic tension and restore energy flow, CranioSacral Therapy to gently release restrictions around your central nervous system and relieve pain, or Manual Lymphatic Drainage to stimulate your lymphatic system, boost your immune function, and reduce stress. Each session is tailored to you, offering a deeply relaxing and restorative experience that supports both your physical and emotional health.
