Hi, I’m Jessica.

My therapeutic perspective is deeply rooted in the belief that every human being deserves to be celebrated. Being human means we will encounter difficulties and struggles that can feel too hard to untangle on our own. I use a collaborative solution-based approach, emphasizing mutual respect, emotional attunement, and client empowerment, allowing for a meaningful change in a safe, supportive environment. I use evidence-based interventions tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. We will work together to help you recognize your strengths, learn new ways to communicate your needs, and discover possibilities toward a greater connection and well-being.

Clinical Experience

I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families in university and private practice settings. I worked with a range of issues such as trauma, grief, anxiety and depression, life transitions, and emotional regulation. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in a variety of settings, including adolescent residential care and recovery programs, as well as congregational care ministry. My work in these settings included working with individuals experiencing addiction, chronic pain or illness, marital distress, financial transitions, and communities healing from natural disasters.

Clinical Specialties

My specialties include working with anxiety and helping couples and families live well across their lifespan. My work with anxiety focuses on self-regulation, acceptance, and finding new thoughts and actions that better serve you.

The needs of parents grow as their children and family grow. I help parents increase emotional regulation in themselves and their children and provide tools to enhance family connection. My work with parents includes caring for new infants, navigating school difficulties, and caring for teens experiencing anxiety, depression, or ADHD. I also work with parents as they help their children navigate social skills and school difficulties.

My work with families also includes infertility and grief from the loss of a child, spouse, or partner. I help couples at any stage improve communication skills to amplify their positive regard and express their differences in a productive and meaningful way. My work with couples includes premarital, marriage, and long-term relationships, adjustment to living together, couples conflict, discernment, as well as couples entering the empty nest phase of life.
