Hi, I’m Hannah.
I’m glad you’re here. I know taking that first step can feel overwhelming. We might be a good fit to work together if you were a “little adult” — someone who had to grow up too fast and take on adult responsibilities at a young age. My clinical focus is complex trauma and attachment wounds — in other words, experiencing harm or neglect in place of the loving connection you needed to grow.
As an adult, signs of unmet developmental needs can show up as addictions, perfectionism, disordered eating, toxic relationships, codependency, anxiety or depression, persistent shame or low self-esteem, or simply a sense that something is blocking your full vitality in life. I practice primarily from an attachment perspective, which means the therapeutic relationship we build becomes part of the healing process. My hope is that, as we work together, parts of you that may have felt unseen or unloved can finally come into safe relationship — perhaps for the first time.
Many people find themselves stuck in patterns that are painful in the present but may have once been necessary for emotional survival. It’s my intention to both honor these resilient parts and help clients release the pain and patterns that are keeping them from moving forward into a safe and fulfilling life in the present. I’m not just focused on behavior change, but on exploring how to identify and tend to the unmet needs underneath problem behaviors. While “doing the work” might sound serious, I believe healing can include laughter and joy, even as we sit with moments of pain.
Clinical Experience
I’m a fully licensed clinician with experience in both trauma-informed treatment centers and private practice. Across ages and populations, I’ve witnessed how unresolved emotional pain can keep people frozen in the past. While sharing and reflecting on our stories is important, deeper work — integrating the mind, body, and spirit — is often needed to help the authentic self emerge. To access and release unresolved emotional pain, I use attachment-focused (SAFE) EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work), and somatic techniques. For artists and creatives, transmuting pain through the container of creative work can also be a powerful part of the process. And of course, gently building the coping skills and inner resources needed to support this deeper work is foundational to my approach. Having walked the road of healing and recovery myself, it’s natural for me to hold a warm, compassionate space for my clients. I also value a direct style — meaning I’ll offer honest feedback about the issues you're facing and what it will require to make meaningful change.
Clinical Specialties
While I welcome clients with a wide range of concerns, I specialize in working with individuals navigating codependency, anxious or avoidant attachment, dysfunctional family dynamics, narcissistic abuse, trauma and abuse, perfectionism, depression, anxiety, ADHD, generational trauma, and recovery from high-control religion or spiritual abuse.
