Nashville Therapy Group

Stephanie Bashirian, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist at the Nashville Office

Change happens with acceptance, so let’s start there.

My goal as your therapist is to create a relationship that you can use for your own growth. While I only practice evidence-based treatments informed by the latest research, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Therapy is an art as much as a science, one that is meant to honor your unique story and your specific goals. Together we will explore your inner world and identify the beliefs and patterns that are keeping you from experiencing your life in the healthiest, most fulfilling, and most meaningful ways.

Since moving from Las Vegas in 2007, I’ve come to call Nashville home. My husband and I stay busy raising our two young children, and enjoy tackling home improvement projects and spending time with friends. As a former programmer with a background in corporate healthcare analytics, I am able to better serve clients who are experiencing problems unique to high-performance and high-stress positions.

As both a therapist and a retired fitness instructor, my approach to health is holistic, fully encompassing the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of my clients. I have a deep capacity for empathy, a heart for the marginalized, and an enthusiasm for seeing others move out of surviving and into thriving. I have worked in both non-profit and private practice settings, serving a diverse clientele seeking help for a wide range of issues.

Clinical Specialties

I welcome the opportunity to work with my clients on whatever they might bring into therapy, though my areas of special focus include couple therapy, life transitions, recovery from emotionally immature family systems, attachment issues, adult survivors of childhood trauma (emotional, religious, or sexual), spiritual or existential distress, issues of shame, self-worth issues, anxiety and depression.
