Katia Hurt, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist at the Nashville Office

Mental health in this community is important.

That’s it.

That’s the quote.

Hi! My name is Katia, and you’ll find me to be a positive, personable, and open-minded therapist who can offer you a safe place to grow and better understand yourself and your relationships. My practice of therapy is goal-centered and brought together with humor and kindness. Being in a position to serve my community is something I hold in high regard, and as your therapist, I am eager to listen, to comfort, and to understand you. Wherever you are in your process, I am here to support you and to help you become the very best version of yourself.

Clinical Experience

I have been fortunate to gain my experience through working with a diverse array of individuals, couples, and families in a wide variety of community, non-profit, private practice, and psychiatric hospital settings. While completing my master’s work, I was trained in conflict management for civil and family mediation as well as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator for premarital couples. For the past year my focus has been on substance abuse and addiction therapy.

Clinical Specialties

My areas of special clinical interest include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, self-worth, life transitions, family conflict, substance abuse, and everyday life struggles. I practice an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy that includes solution focused, narrative, and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
