Hi, I’m Courtney.
I love empowering people to find their voice, move toward their goals, and improve their well-being. I believe that safety is a core component for healing, and so this informs every aspect of my approach. From nurturing safety in the therapy relationship to helping you cultivate safety in your body, finding sources of safety is game-changing for a mind that is hard-wired for survival. I focus on tailoring therapy to your specific needs, taking into account your strengths, challenges, goals, as well as systemic, social, and cultural factors.
Speaking personally, therapy has been transformational for me as a client. So impactful, in fact, that it inspired me to switch careers after working for over a decade building and leading teams in tech. My style is collaborative, attentive, and open. I aim to honor you as a whole person and work with your natural capacity to process deeply held memories and emotions. It can take a lot of courage to seek out support and vulnerably share about the things that matter most to you. I can support your growth journey through presence and compassion.
Clinical Specialties
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents across a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, grief, and shame. I am especially passionate about working with trauma survivors. I know the impact of coercive control firsthand and am committed to working with people who are struggling with the effects of high-control environments. Abusive relationships, cults, spiritual abuse, and abuse within the troubled teen industry are just a few examples of where oppression and exploitation can leave victims confused, exhausted, and plagued by a variety of mental and physical symptoms. Together, we will work to make sense of what you have experienced, and differentiate between what is true to you versus what has been placed on you by others. Developing trust and connection with oneself can be life-changing. I firmly believe that you are the expert on your own lived experience, and would be honored to help you rebuild a sense of agency over your life.
