Thoughtful reflections, clinical insights, and real conversations.
Our journal is a space where we share what we’re learning, noticing, and thinking. Whether you’re new to therapy, returning after time away, or simply curious about how growth and change unfold, our hope is that these writings offer something useful, grounding, and encouraging. We believe that mental and relational health should be talked about openly and with care, and we’re honored to be part of that conversation.
There’s more to say than what fits in a session.
What happens in therapy is personal, private, and often hard to put into words. But as a team, we spend a lot of time thinking about the themes that show up in the room: grief, identity, healing, relationships, change. Our journal is where we put some of those thoughts into writing. These posts are meant to offer perspective, reflection, and maybe even a little clarity for anyone wondering what therapy is really about, and why it matters.

What Nobody Tells You About Parenting and Identity
Becoming a parent changes your life in ways you can’t prepare for. You might find yourself wondering who you are now that you’re responsible for another person’s life. You might miss parts of who you were before or feel pressure to fully inhabit a version of yourself that doesn’t quite fit. These questions are rarely talked about openly, but they’re real, and incredibly common.
Healing Body Image from the Inside Out
Struggling with body image doesn’t mean you’re vain or shallow. It means you’ve been human in a world that constantly sends messages about what bodies are supposed to look like, feel like, or be capable of. And when those messages have been loud for years, it can take time to learn how to relate to your body with something closer to care.
Building a Healthy Relationship with Food
Building a healthy relationship with food is not about eating perfectly. It’s about moving toward trust, flexibility, and care. It’s about learning to listen to your body instead of overriding it. It’s about letting food be a source of nourishment without becoming a source of punishment or control.
Mental Skills Every Performer Should Practice
Mental skills are what help you stay grounded under pressure, recover from setbacks, and show up with clarity and confidence when it matters most. They are not just for elite athletes or professionals at the top of their game. These are tools that anyone who performs, creates, competes, or leads can benefit from. And like any skill, they can be learned, practiced, and strengthened over time.
What Counts as Trauma? A Therapist’s Perspective
We tend to think of trauma as a specific type of event: a car accident, an assault, a natural disaster, a loss. But in therapy, we look at trauma not just as what happened, but as what happened inside you as a result.
When Success Feels Empty: Therapy for High Performers
Therapy for high performers is not about dismantling ambition. It’s about expanding your definition of success so that it includes your wellbeing, your relationships, and your sense of self.
Building a Creative Life That’s Sustainable
Many creative professionals live in cycles of feast and famine, and the idea of sustainability can feel out of reach when you’re stuck in survival mode. But in therapy, sustainability doesn’t mean achieving perfect balance. It means learning how to honor your capacity, reconnect to your values, and build a creative life that doesn’t require you to burn out in order to belong.
Why Group Therapy Might Be the Missing Piece
Individual therapy gives you space to talk through your life. Group therapy lets you practice living it differently. You can try out new ways of expressing yourself, set boundaries, notice how you respond to conflict, and explore what it feels like to be vulnerable with others. It’s a unique chance to move from insight into integration.
Supporting LGBTQ+ Relationships in Therapy
We are committed to offering LGBTQ+ affirming therapy that doesn’t just accept your relationship, but understands it. Our clinicians include queer and trans therapists, and all members of our team receive ongoing training in affirming care. We work to create a space where you can show up fully, without having to educate your therapist or shrink your experience to fit a mold.
