Hi, I’m Candice.
I've been doing this work for 18 years, and what still drives me is the same thing that drove me at the beginning: the belief that hope is the beginning of healing. I've worked with people in some of the hardest circumstances imaginable, from youth navigating the justice system to women inside prison walls, and what I've seen over and over is that with the right support, people can do extraordinary things. My guiding conviction is simple: where there is hope there is healing, and where there is healing there is strength.
Outside the therapy room, I'm a national recording artist and continue to share music around the world. That matters for my clinical work, especially when I'm sitting with artists, musicians, and creative professionals. I know firsthand what it means to build an identity around creative work, and I bring that understanding into the room.
I work with individuals, couples, and families. I believe in meeting each person where they are, bringing creativity and curiosity into the process, and helping people move forward with genuine strength.
Clinical Specialties
A significant part of my work is with couples and families, including premarital and marital counseling, divorce adjustment, and family conflict. I'm particularly drawn to the work of breaking generational cycles: helping people recognize patterns inherited from their families of origin and make deliberate choices about what they carry forward and what they leave behind. I also work with parents navigating the challenges of raising children in complex circumstances, and with teens and adolescents who need a therapist who will take them seriously.
My clinical background includes six years providing therapy inside the prison system and extensive work with veterans and their families. That history shapes how I think about reentry, trauma, survival, and what it takes to rebuild a life. I work with clients navigating PTSD, complex trauma, religious trauma, and the particular grief that comes with pregnancy and infant loss. I am fully LGBTQ+ affirming and create a space where all identities are welcome.
For artists, musicians, and creative professionals, I offer something specific: I'm a working musician myself, which means I understand the interior life of a creative career from the inside out.
