Hi, I’m Caitlin.
You are a caretaker, a fixer, a hard worker, a lifelong achiever. The image you maintain for the outside world comes at the expense of your energy, vitality, and peace of mind. Maybe you are living on autopilot; drifting through life or stuck in frustrating, repeating patterns. If you provided yourself the time and space to explore, heal, and grow, how might life be different?
How might you be different?
You could discover a peace within yourself and in relationships with others that allows you to live with authenticity, vitality, and confidence. You could reconnect with your emotions and learn how to safely experience and express the range of emotions that make us all human. You could even develop new beliefs and behaviors that help you construct a more fulfilling, rewarding life.
Let's uncover the authentic version of you together. I’m can be your guide and ally on this journey of self-discovery and growth. My passion is creating a safe, compassionate space for you to feel, to question, to grieve, to learn, to experiment, to reconcile, to celebrate, and ultimately to grow and heal.
Together, we will make sense of how you’re impacted by your past experiences and current contexts, allowing you to tap into your inner healer and regain a sense of autonomy. We will practice new coping skills to break the habits that numb and distract. We will find healthy ways to overcome your challenges, sooth your stress, and find joy in life again. We will identify relationship and behavior patterns that no longer serve you. We’ll uncover your deepest values and learn to use them to guide your decision-making, increasing authenticity and confidence. I’ll walk with you through the exciting unknown of translating these new perspectives and skills to life outside the therapy office.
Clinical Experience
For over 10 years, I’ve enjoyed the privilege of using evidence based psychotherapy to help diverse individuals and couples recover their mental wellness in inpatient and outpatient addiction and mental health treatment programs, as well as private practice settings. This work has provided me the tremendous honor to bear trusted witness to the courageous vulnerability of individuals from all walks of life. It has affirmed my guiding principle that every person is capable of making change and finding peace. Whether providing individual, couples, or group therapy, the foundation of my approach to therapy is person-centered, relational, and experiential. This means I celebrate the unique identity and strengths of those I work with, and create a safe and supportive relationship that encourages honest exploration of patterns, emotions, and coping strategies. Honesty and directness is often necessary for growth, so I provide feedback with kindness. I focus not only the current distress, but also its deeper origins because this fosters lasting change.
Clinical Specialties
I support clients experiencing a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, interpersonal relationship challenges, identity exploration, and professional burnout. I always focus on whichever concern feels most important to each individual. I blend modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, parts work, and somatic and mindfulness practices to tailor our therapeutic work to each individual’s unique needs. Much of my practice focuses on providing EMDR trauma therapy so clients can find freedom from the lasting impacts of painful past experiences. With couples, I practice from an Emotion Focused Therapy approach to help couples learn to break painful conflict cycles and deepen emotional intimacy by accurately identifying and expressing their emotions and needs. As a self-compassion advocate, I help clients make peace with regret, move through shame, reevaluate perfectionist standards, and confront their inner critic. I encourage clients to value caring for their needs to support a secure sense of self-worth.
