Hi, I’m Michelle.
I firmly believe that everyone holds inherent worth and the capacity for change. At times, addiction, relational stress, and shame can cloud our ability to see this clearly. In my work, I view symptoms not as flaws to be judged, but as meaningful adaptations shaped by your experiences. I take a relational, collaborative, and genuinely curious approach to therapy, helping you make sense of how you show up in your inner world and in your relationships. Clients often experience me as deeply attuned, compassionately direct, and authentically human. I consider it a privilege to get to know all parts of you, and I strive to meet you with reverence, humility, and—when it fits—humor.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy weight training, curating playlists, and spending time with my cats, Bean and Moose.
Clinical Experience
My clinical experience spans a range of treatment settings, including residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and re-entry programs supporting individuals following incarceration. I primarily work with individuals navigating intimacy challenges, particularly those related to sex, love, and pornography addiction. As an Associate Sex Addiction Therapist (ASAT), I have received specialized training to support individuals in building insight, accountability, and sustainable recovery. I have also spent the entirety of my career working alongside people recovering from substance use disorders.
My approach is trauma-informed, with a strong emphasis on safety, agency, and individualized care. I work from an integrative lens, drawing from psychodynamic and attachment-based frameworks, as well as the exploration of core beliefs. I provide a space to dig deep and uncover how unconscious patterns from the past influence current relationships.
Clinical Specialties
My areas of special clinical interest include sex, love, porn addictions, relationship issues, men’s issues, enmeshment, and challenges with shame and self-worth. I work primarily with individual adults.
