Hi, I’m Carmenza.
Life transitions can leave you feeling unsure of who you are, where you belong, or what comes next. Maybe you’re entering adulthood, adjusting to a new role, building a life away from home, or trying to balance who you’ve been with who you’re becoming. You may feel stuck between different expectations, disconnected from yourself, or unsure how to move forward without losing the values and relationships that matter to you.
Together, we can explore the experiences, family patterns, and cultural influences that have shaped the way you see yourself and relate to others. Therapy can be a space to better understand what you want to carry with you, what may no longer fit, and how to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I also work with couples who want to feel more connected and understood in their relationship. We can explore patterns in communication, intimacy, conflict, and family-of-origin influences that may be creating distance. I also have a particular interest in supporting couples from different cultural backgrounds, where differences in family expectations, traditions, roles, or values may add another layer to the relationship
My style is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel both supported and appropriately challenged. I take time to build trust first and move at a pace that feels safe, while also being direct when I notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and trauma-informed care to help clients better understand their experiences and create meaningful change.
